Sadly my Dad passed away on Tuesday 21st november 2000 at Christies Hospital Manchester just 3 days before his treatment was due to end, he was a loving husband to Amanda and doting father to Stacey, Jamie, Daniel and Adam.

He is missed by both his family and his friends he was a very kind and caring man that neverasked for anything but gave a lot xxx miss u forever and always Dad xxx

It may have been years ago but the memories dont fade and are with me everyday he will never be forgootten because how could you forget such a wonderful Dad xxx

He passed away when i was just ten years old and i wrote this poem about him in 2004 and won the school poetry competition....

TO LOSE SOMEONE

To lose someone you loved so much seems so hard to bear
for the love you shared was a special love only few could share
now inside theres an emptyness a sadness you cant hide
for all of your emotions are whirling round inside

no words at all can comfort but at least you can be glad
for all the time you spent together and the special times we had
you will not be alone not for a single day
there memory is witjh you and will never fade away

there comes a time for us to say goodbye the memories of our loved ones will never fade or die

x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

if tears could build a stairway and memories a lane id walk rite upto heaven and bring you home again. xxxxxxlove alwaysxxxxx

Waiting at the Door

I can’t explain so deep inside
The very fabric of my soul
Only a heart that grieves such loss
Can ever truly understand

It’s like you’re waiting at the door
Until a loved one comes back home
You feel a longing in your heart
When they appear the longing stops

But in a loss that never ends
You’re always standing at that door
You feel the longing in the breeze
So incomplete and never filled

I cannot find the words to say
Just what it’s like to want forever
Never seeing them again
Just always waiting at the door

seen this and made me think of you!

What Makes a Dad

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so,

He called it ... Dad

for you xx

God called your name so softly That only you could hear And no-one heard the footsteps Of Angels drawing near It broke our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone For part of us went with you The day God called you home.
